Zelda - Rearview (Official Audio)
What’s good y’all? Today’s radar is in bit of a retrograde but in our favor. Tonight’s coverage is provided by way of Zelda and her official re-release of her single “Rearview.” Although the song has seen release on other platforms such as SoundCloud, this week marks its first time on major streaming outlets. Of course, Zelda doesn’t just provide her listeners with a completely recycled offering and comes with a re-recorded version of the track; to ensure the highest quality for the streaming. An occasion worth mentioning as the song is a quintessential part of the Zelda catalog. If this is your first time encountering the record, then you’re in for a treat.
“Had to realize my ignorance, always belligerent. Bitches is bent over bottle. Who sippin it, long as I’m feelin it. Feelin’ so different, from all the vibrations that I’ve been surrounded in. Feeling so grounded, it’s synergy. Climbing the slope and it’s slippery.”
As for many others, Zelda’s life up until this point has been a learning experience via trial and error. What is the past but a reminder of the growth that inevitably occurs. The outcome of that growth varies based on how you calculate its trajectory. At some point the misuse of substances, poor judgment in the company kept, and decision making with no regard to your own well being take it’s toll. Zelda may have found herself in positions that aren’t aligned with her character but being in the wrong environment is a precarious situation. Going along with it for as long as you can withstand may seem easier. Truth is, you got to have that awakening inside yourself to reduce things that consume your spirit’s energy.
“I got some snakes up in my rear view. I don’t give a fuck, I got a clear view. When I reflect on what I been through, I see some snakes up in my rear view.”
Fortunately Zelda was able to break away from the toxic place that people of her past were dragging her in. Removing herself immediately is the first step into undoing some of the wrong done unto yourself. They say don’t dwell on the past but it can be to your benefit. Just like an athlete might run back their playing footage, going back in your mind to certain moments with more critical thought can reveal something about yourself. Once you take that act of self love, it may offend those who thrive off your energy. To see beyond their scrupulous lies is a challenge but the only defense you have. In that moment, you remove the power of influence once held above your head. The liberation of hurt people hurting other people is what it’s all about. Zelda puts it best as to recognize the insincerity of those people. “Look in my eyes and you can’t tell a lie to me. You talkin’ shit so I know that you’re hurting. Look in my eyes I can tell that you’re burdened. Your coping mechanics ain’t really been working. You dying inside but look fine on the surface.”
The sentiments expressed serve as a mantra for personal growth and being able to forgive yourself. The sound of this one sounds like your next step towards finding inner peace. Tap in with the artist Zelda if you haven’t yet. You won’t be mad at it. Stream “Rearview” down below or anywhere music is available.
