In The Field with Cast Away$: Live Performance @ The Elbow Room

What’s good everyone? We back with another recap of some of the region’s best active talent. We are back with another performance vlog, In The Field with Cast Away$. The Cast Away$ are a Hip-Hop trio based out of North Lake Tahoe, CA. The three members consist of: Sins, O.D., & Kasper, remember the names! They have been working diligently on their craft for years, with releases on their artist catalog stemming back to 2017. Fast forward 5 years and nothing has changed, they are consistently working on their crafts. In 2022, they are gearing up for one of their most anticipated projects and doing everything they can to build that awareness.

For their first time back on stage ,since before the beginning of the Pandemic in 2022, they opened up for Glass Tung at local venue in Sparks, NV named The Elbow Room. It was an exciting opportunity as we have never seen a full set by the group yet. We have seen the artists’ do guest appearances on others’ sets at local shows in the region. The first time was exciting, knowing they will be in full control of the setlist and getting to see their group dynamic for a longer amount of time. The vibes were good and Tahoe was for sure in the building that night. With friends and family of the group showing up to support the team. They were ready as any professional act, even accompanied by a merch table and even made some sales that night.

Arriving to the venue, WW was immediately welcomed by all three members of the group. We got some pictures, BTS footage of before stage, during the set, and kicking it afterwards. Seeing the chemistry between these three artists in something unique but fun to witness. The crew is grateful for every opportunity they get and do not hesitate to show love to their supporters. Many other prominent creatives in the local music scene, who were not performing, showed up to support the group and catch their set.

The crew performed a couple of their released tracks as a group then preview a couple solo songs from their upcoming project titled “333,” which consists of 3 singles from each one of the three members. It was full of memories and good energy. So much so, we had to capture just a small part of it to present to the viewers who could not make it. So give it a view above and learn about some creatives hailing out of Lake Tahoe. They are a charismatic collective who know what is like to not fit in but still know how to find a way to get in!

You will not be disappointed, stream their latest single down below and follow them with the button at the bottom of this page. Run it up!

What’s good everybody? We are back with another In The Field vlog from the region’s hottest talents. From the Weather Archives comes a performance video from one of Reno’s most commonly known artists, SavyBalboa. The Weather Watcher pulled up to a show put together by ZP Ratik, hosted by The Blueprint Podcast 775: Jon “JK The Visual” Gomez, Stu J The Vamp, and Jimmy Teflon. The two latter hosts, also doubling as performing acts on the line up as well. It was an eventful night, plenty of regional artists and WW alumni showcasing their talents for fans/supporters.

Many familiar names to the WW Music Forecast platform, Bozzy, Trev $tone, Hardcastle, & more. However, this was the first time WW being in attendance for a co-headliner set from Savy. Ask anyone who knows of SavyBalboa, they’ll likely agree that has been making strides for his city musically. Witnessing it and hearing the growth in every release confirms the star power he possesses. It was exciting to get to see the Reno raised artist perform some of his more popular records.

Kicking off the set list with “Back On My Shit” alongside his brother, R&B singer, LaDontrae. The two artists quickly gain the attention of the crowd and quickly turn up the engagement off the music alone. Add good energy and being experienced performers in the mix, there’s no way the crowd was not going to feel the vibes. A significant moment for the Weather Watcher was on song number two in the set. Savy continues to perform, “Mike Jack.” The record was amongst the collection of Instagram song reviews on the Weather Watcher account before the website went live.

Seeing the crowd surrounding also feeling the joy that record brings was a sight to see. With LaDontrae by his side, Sav switches it up and plays the ‘First Class: Departure’ classic “ACNE.” If you weren’t there, don’t worry, you can get a small taste of what you missed out on above. Don’t take our word for it though, see for yourself and find out what song he closes the set out with. It’s a smooth joint for sure! Him and LaDontrae ripped the stage up with quality tunes for everyone to enjoy.

Be sure to stream Savy’s latest record below and follow on IG with the button. Tune in and see what it's like to catch a SavyBalboa & LaDontrae show. There may be some more footage for y’all coming, be sure to keep the YouTube channel warm for us and subscribe. Run it up! 🌦🛰

They are based out of Reno, NV and have been working to introduce themselves to their respective scene. The WW caught wind of this band via Sam Mussell, a guitarist in the group. After checking them out, it turns out some of the members have been involved in other bands’ over the last 10 years in their scene. After some time passing since those days, the collective known as Crossing Point organically came together to start a whole new wave. Once realizing the amount of talent the group holds, we were eager to see some new material come to light.

They have been writing songs, practicing their sets, and working on tracking for their first project as a group. With that being said, they are carefully crafting quality music to provide to future listeners. When we were notified about their first show locally, it was a must attend event from WW. Normally, the realm of WW Music Forecast and Coverage is the Hip-Hop/Rap scene in the region but other genres are equally as important to the region’s music scene. It was well overdue to attend a show with a new set of creatives doing something else musically.

Consisting of 5 members: Tony (vocals), Sam (guitar), Chris (guitar), Robby (bass), & Ethan (drums). The group has been working diligently on their upcoming debut EP release. In The Field with Jay-T & dARTh Tone: One of A Kind BTS

What’s good everyone? Today we are back with another Behind The Scenes, music video, edition of “In The Field” for the forecast. For this video, the Weather Watcher pulled up to the Full Price Music Group studio. Invited by Jay-T to get some footage on his most recent video shoot with dARTh Tone. The song is called “One of A Kind” and is about to be released very soon. Of course, we were able to bring you the exclusive sneak preview of what the video is going to look like on the day of release.

The song itself is a testament to the artists, two distinct styles that can’t quite be copied. It only makes sense the two come together for the record, perhaps even more, you’ll have to watch the video in full to find out. The day itself was chill as ever. The vibes were all genuine and like family at the whole ordeal. Lots of familiar faces from over the years, as you can tell, the small circle vibes are heavy. Tone and Jay-T are family based individuals, having my own personal connections with them for many years, they have always been consistent about their love for their loved ones.

The shoot was interesting with all the gear, Full Price Media Group has to utilize. The studio space itself quickly became an impromptu Music Video set. The studio itself was even incorporated into the video. The DIY, entrepreneurial efforts were in full effect from all aspects of the operation. A truly admirable and inspiring thing to see first hand. A lot of work goes into creating and presenting it to the world. Something that Jay-T, an expert in creation, and Tone, a seasoned veteran on the microphone, know very well. With their support systems in their corner, they strive to put out the best content for fans of music to enjoy at the highest level of professionalism possible.

It was dope to see mutual energy connecting with each other and supporting these artist in their latest endeavors. As well as high levels of work ethic being demonstrated by the artists and company. Here at WW, the future for these two’s collaboration is highly anticipated. We can show you better than we can tell you, so without further delay, go watch the video and support these artists down below!

In The Field with Zelda & Friends: “So Special” BTS

What’s good everyone? Happy Valentine’s Day! Today’s forecast comes in continuation of last week’s Zelda interview. The day of interview, we joined Zelda & Bozzy of For You Productions on set for their latest visual. For a song titled “So Special,” which kicked off Zelda’s string of releases in 2021. Hailing from Elko, NV, the lyricist has been proving her pen game to be heavy. Sharing life experiences, vulnerability, wisdom, and lessons learned with every song.

The video happens to be for a former WW review on our instagram page, “So Special” (read the excerpt below):

“The dynamic of relationships are just as unpredictable as the weather on any given day. No matter how familiar you are with the patterns established by your situational climate; expectations are the the quickest path towards disappointment. It is not enough to water and nurture your garden of emotion that you have cultivated with another. Sometimes the soil in which the roots have been established is simply too hostile of an environment. In turn, fighting to salvage it can drain you of your own resources. “I always stay real and just hope that you feel me. And I mean the real me, deep down in my soul, let the medicine heal me. This world gonna kill me.” Vulnerability and the way it’s received is easy to abuse. Most do not know how to care for it and that’s okay. In time, you will learn the boundaries you have subconsciously decided for yourself. The things that drive you crazy about the dynamic will soon no longer be above you. That burden of being obliged to compromise the majority of the time will be lifted. The stress is easily blown away in the wind with the smoke pluming off the end of your papers. With less noise in your head and time to reflect on your own source of happiness, it’s easy to return to your true self. A celebratory statement, of a whimsical, yet structured cadence is contagious and plays in your mind as if it were a much needed affirmation. The artist displays a great amount of self awareness. Unbiased look at their self and the one who may have once been bringing them trouble. “I let the lesser, get the better in me. I got these devils, these devils in me but I’m still level. Just see what I see, this life is special. So special to me.” This is perfect for a quiet morning with stillness in the air, suspending the light refracted by the peaking rays of the sunrise.”

A year later and the song still holds true to the wisdom in carries in itself. An important moment in Zelda’s catalog, so much so, that it deserved the video treatment to celebrate the 1 year anniversary as well as Zelda’s 25th birthday. We spent all day vibing with good company, Cast Away$, Tommy V, $inClar3, Stu J the Vamp, and more all pulled up to support.

It was an organic occasion as Zelda gave her flowers to the artists she invited to the shoot. Getting to vibe with other creatives of the region and contribute to the common goal of them all, was a special thing to see. It could not have gone any more smooth, as the final product was executed perfectly by For You Productions and Director, Bozzy. As for the weather watcher, we pulled up to get BTS content for one of our first reviewed records. A full circle moment for the blog, that could not be missed.

It was an honor to be a part of the event and can proudly say there’s more BTS content on the way. More visual content will be returning. Thank you to Zelda for being the first partner of the year for the Interview and In The Field appearances. Stay tuned for who’s up next in the forecast! Some heavy hitters in the scene for 2022. Peep the video and BTS footage from it all.

Don’t forget to stream the record also! Follow the artist social media down below as well.
