In The Field with Crossing Point: Live Performance @ House Show

What’s good everyone? We are back with a new forecast from the local Hardcore/Alternative Punk scene in the region. The act featured in today’s blog, goes by the name of Crossing Point. They are based out of Reno, NV and have been working to introduce themselves to their respective scene. The WW caught wind of this band via Sam Mussell, a guitarist in the group. After checking them out, it turns out some of the members have been involved in other bands’ over the last 10 years in their scene. After some time passing since those days, the collective known as Crossing Point organically came together to start a whole new wave. Once realizing the amount of talent the group holds, we were eager to see some new material come to light.

They have been writing songs, practicing their sets, and working on tracking for their first project as a group. With that being said, they are carefully crafting quality music to provide to future listeners. When we were notified about their first show locally, it was a must attend event from WW. Normally, the realm of WW Music Forecast and Coverage is the Hip-Hop/Rap scene in the region but other genres are equally as important to the region’s music scene. It was well overdue to attend a show with a new set of creatives doing something else musically.

The Weather Watcher pulled up to a private house show to see some local bands in the hardcore/punk/alternative scene. Amongst the setlist, was a special band named Crossing Point. Consisting of 5 members: Tony (vocals), Sam (guitar), Chris (guitar), Robby (bass), & Ethan (drums). The group has been working diligently on their upcoming debut EP release. This show was their first live performance gig as a group. The songs they played were amazing, to say the least. Be ready for their music to come out very soon. Watch this set and see what the future of our local hardcore scene holds.

Be sure to follow the group on social media down below as they gear up to put out their first release on all streaming platforms. Enjoy this brief video at their first performance for fans’ of hardcore music. Are you excited to see what this band has to offer? Their songwriting and performance’s are solid, with lots of emotion and real life inspiration provided. Be sure to subscribe, support the band, and run it up!
