We support underground, independent, generally unknown artists in regards to the professional world of music. So if you don’t like listening to what’s going on in the mainstream space of music then this might be the place for you. Thanks for tuning in!
Now that you are caught up to speed on our mission here at WW, let’s get right to it.
Allways Khalil - Forever Green EP (Release Date: 6/20/22)
Starting the week off, we have Allways Khalil with his latest project ‘Forever Green EP’ from just a couple days ago. The Northern California emcee showcasing his cohesiveness and sharpened skillset with an interesting feat accomplish during the conception of this EP. The 6 six song offering, coupled along with 4 music videos, were all made in a span of one night. That’s right, written, recorded, and filmed in one night. The work ethic on the idea lone is higher level. The fact that the music holds his its own against many an EP that were weeks or months in creation. This shows the capability of this artist to hone in on his abilities when it really matters. A quick but fun listen that has many key moments, with gems and cleverly written lines all through out. You can tell this was created from the heart and was truly indicative of the soul inside the person who made it.

Jboi feat EliasKwola - Surviving (Release Date: 6/25/22)
We are taking it to Pittsburgh, PA for the next song of the week. A collaboration between Jboi and EliasKwola, merging two different worlds for a song with the sound of a genre of their own. Jboi is producer, artist, engineer, and owner of his own recording studio. So a hands on, multifaceted artist that creates music on his own terms. Appropriate mindset that matches the message of the song. Perseverance can be heard all over this song and the many titles he has collected is a testament to that. Alongside to assist, is pop-inspired hip hop artist EliasKwola. Another person who creates music in a world unlike any other artist, they both have original and completely different styles but hearing them collide on a track is something special. Without having the words to completely define it, the song is anthemic, unapologetic, and authentic. It is hard to not bob your head along with it.
If you are feeling the vibe of this song, then tap in with Jboi and EliasKwola on social media.
Junes feat Bozzy - Breakdown (Release Date: 6/17/22)
For the next record, we are taking it back to Reno, NV with Junes, of Glass Tung, and his latest solo release titled “Breakdown.” A personal record where he touches on the more difficult thoughts that he faces inside his mind. Trying to fight a war going on inside while finding things to be grateful for. Both verses of his filled with honest vulnerability and conflicting viewpoints within. An equally emotional performance on the feature, Bozzy being on the hook further develops the sentiments being expressing from Junes. This song connects with the unfavorable side of the human mind. It feels like an ode to self sabotage, as often self can be the biggest hurdle for being the protagonist in your own life. It requires maintenance and work to forgive or heal yourself. If you can do your inventory inside your mind, know where you did wrong, right, more than enough, or the bare minimum then you might be able to walk away with your sanity. However, not taking the time to face the things you have been neglecting will inevitably lead to your mental engine blowing out and leaving you stranded on a lonely road.
If you are digging the message in this one, follow Junes right here.
Breaker feat Bozzy - Blue Skies (Release Date: 6/21/22)
Have you heard of the 8 year old rapper? If you are not familiar with the Heartbreak City, then you’re in for a treat. We had to include the young prodigy known as Breaker. Fresh off his own headlining show in Reno, NV (that’s right, he headlined his own show at The Alpine Reno). Breaker is back with a visual for his latest release titled “Blue Skies.” Featuring a familiar face to the WW Radar, Bozzy, who has been working heavy amongst his peers with a second feature being released within the same week. This song continues to bring the feel good energy of letting the stress roll off your shoulders. Everyone goes through their own difficulties in life, it’s part of life’s inevitabilities but that does not mean we can find a way to prosper. The two offer their spin on turning negatives into positives because no one has time for anything other than what is good for them. We just want to have a good time!
If you are feeling the good energy from the young, charismatic MC then follow his page here for future content (account not managed by the artist).
Jimmy Teflon feat Doc Dolla, OW Tubbz, & Papi Dano - Acrobat (Release Date: 6/24/22)
Continuing the theme of Summer vibes, we have Jimmy Teflon and his latest visual, directed by Tragedy Struck, titled “Acrobat.” This time he taps in with a couple heads to bring the party to life. A big feature with Doc Dolla out of Richmond, CA followed by his fellow MCs OW Tubbz and Papi Dano. The song itself is perfectly fit for a night out at the club surrounded by some bad women looking to have some fun. From the sounds to the sights, this release is perfectly executed and is going to be a song repeatedly played this summer. Everyone provides a unique moment and makes it a memorable experience. It’s addicting and damn near impossible to not quote for days after the fact. From Reno to the Bay, it couldn’t be done any other way. The instrumental has that bounce, makes you want to move and sing along the way. If you have not heard this one from the album ‘Money Talks’ then here is your chance to experience it in a new light. This one will not be going away anytime soon.
If you dig what’s going on in this video, tap in with Jimmy to see where the world of Teflon is going next right here.
Jay-T - Is We (Release Date: 6/25/22)
Continuing the theme of dope visuals, we have the FullPrice representative, Jay-T. The artist, producer, engineer, and director is fresh off a release from his latest single “Is We” from the ‘Pictured This’ album. Filmed by Casey Scarpa, directed by FullPriceMedia (owned by Jay-T himself). Perhaps his best self directed visual of the year, Jay-T is known to have a professional video for everyone of his releases, this time around is no different. Merging the effects with the cinematic shots, this is a newer aesthetic to FullPriceMedia visuals. The song itself takes an R&B approach and features the signature Jay-T melodies to accompany the genuine vibes for easygoing listening. Play this with a cool shorty on a fine summer night just to keep the energy proper. If just want to kick it and get high then you might be obliged to have her slide is the energy i’m picking up off this one. A fun listen that appeals to a variety of settings where music can be enjoyed for casual listening. Even a good gem for a road trip when they pass you the aux.
If you are new to Jay-T then follow his page right here and watch the journey.
L Cone feat Jokesta Fresh & Meny Hits - Real G (Release Date: 6/24/22)
To close it out, we are taking it to Cabo with the latest track from L Cone featuring Jokesta Fresh & Meny Hits on the production. A heavy hitting ode to the west coast lifestyle from Reno to Cabo. The G-Funk inspired sounds from this collective of artists is nostalgic and reminiscent of all the best qualities from the music people of our generation grew up on. Don’t get it twisted though, it’s not just paying homage to them, its a lifestyle thing. It’s not to be played with and they’ve had to face the choices they made. At the end of the day, it’s just how life plays out and they know how to move going forward. Not living with regrets and keeping your head high when things get rough is what these guys are all about. The work ethic from the streets being channeled into the music is the most authentic way to go about the music grind. Jokesta alone has had an incredible year so far with back to back release and plenty of features to go along with the momentum. This is our first time hearing L Cone via Jokesta Fresh’s activity on our radar lately. We are looking forward to tapping in with this artist and what the scene in Cabo is providing to the culture. Do not be sleeping on Cabo artists, they are making moves this year.
If you are loving the vibes from la raza, then give L Cone a follow right here.
