J’illa & RichE OnOne - Ready 4 Whatever (Official Music Video
What’s good y’all? With summer coming to a close, plenty of new music has been falling out of the sky the last few weeks. Today the forecast puts the spot light on another gem from the city of Reno, NV. A local favorite, J’illa links up with PakCity rep RichE On One for a banger titled “Ready4 Whatever.” An anthem for anyone who really about that go getter mentality. The video directed by @SippinVisuals brings the song to life and shows the day in the life of a music artist in their city. The video starts off with J’illa getting ready to hit the studio with RichE to make some heat in the booth. A brief cameo from LaDontrae, reminds viewers about the support that J’illa receives from her city and the music scene that belongs to it.
“It’s been a long couple months but I ain’t looking back. Look I’m ready for whatever, I’m just ready to attack. Look these bitches say they loyal but be talking behind your back. And these n****s say they faithful but be hiding where they at.”
Off the dribble, J’illa lets it be known that she isn’t letting her guard down and letting nobody take advantage of her. In the past, she may have let her kindness be taken for weakness but lessons have been learned and mistakes won’t be made like that again. She’s locked in and ready to take her craft to a new level. Going in over an eerie instrumental with that slump-filled bass line. In the video, her and the role played by LaDontrae have a brief argument before leaving to go handle her business. In between shots of her getting suited up for the game that she’s actively in. With something rolled and the fit laced up proper, there’s nothing that’s going to knock her off her game. The verse is filled with direct communication of what is and what is no longer tolerated. If it doesn’t contribute to her growth then she ain’t here for it. She’s out them feelings and elbow deep in her bag, the fuck is you talking bout? She’s on a mission and she’s got something to show for it. If you ain’t on the same page, or even close enough to relate, then you already left behind.
The cut scene shows RichE when he’s about to link up with J’illa to lay down a track, then they immediately decide to film a scene for the track where RichE comes in on verse two. Visually bringing to life the work ethic of the up and coming artists you might find in J’illa’s circle.
“I don’t chase a bitch, I don’t chase a bag. Money come to me, like when I hit the ass. Money make it burrr, money make it fast. When you chasing her, you gonna make it last.”
RichE goes in with a grimy verse about the same mission. Focusing on the goal of taking this rap shit to the next level. The lifestyle comes with a lot. Fake people, haters, bitches, and, when done right, money. RichE has something to say about all of the above topics. Fitting perfect on the choice of beat for the record, RichE naturally just talks his shit the only way he knows how. The icy vocals serving as a metaphor for how cold things can be when you want to be in this game or even the street side of things where he’s from. Taking what he learned from his past and applying it to his future is what the vibes come to be. Don’t try to cross him or do anything to mess with his bag to avoid the negative side of things. If it’s love then it’s love. He’s trying to put on for his section and is trying to speak for his people. If your bitch notices then don’t hate, it wasn’t meant to be. The sauce is on heavy for him these days.
It’s safe to say these two are locked in and ready to represent for their hometown of Reno.
